RESEARCH AREA:
By employing synthetic biology and metabolic engineering principles, our group focuses on devising efficient microbial cell factory for chemical productions, elucidating the biosynthetic pathways of natural products, developing biosensors for pathogen detection and probiotics-based disease treatment. More specifically, a) metabolic engineering toward more efficient cell factories; b) cascaded enzyme catalysis; c) biosensor design; d) pathway elucidation and microbial synthesis of plant natural products; e) probiotics-based disease treatment.
