【报告人简介】Dr. Xiaoyong Yang is a tenured professor in the Department of Comparative Medicine and Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Ronald Evans at The Salk Institute. Dr. Yang works at the intersection of diabetes, obesity, and cancer, and has made pioneering contributions to deciphering biological information encoded in protein post-translational modifications. Dr. Yang has published highly cited articles in Cell, Cell Metabolism, Nature, PNAS, etc. Dr. Yang was the president of the Chinese American Diabetes Association and vice president of the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association. He was named a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Croucher Visiting Fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been elected to The Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering.
